Goldendoodle
Characteristics

The Goldendoodle
has proven to be a highly intelligent, easy to train dog with "gentle"
being the most commonly used single word to describe them. They have a beautiful
long coat that is soft and shimmering with a wave. Most Goldendoodle's shed
very little or not at all although there is no guarantee as to the amount
of or lack of shedding a particular coat type renders. Through surveys, it
has been determined that even the low shedding dogs have proven to be better
companions for most allergy sufferers.

Goldendoodles
are bred from the joining of 2 purebred dogs: Our male is a Champagne colored
Standard Poodle and our females are Golden Retrievers. Goldendoodles are not
hybrids - They are a cross-breed. Hybrid is an out-dated term - The term "hybrid,"
by the way, is controversial. Some purists feel that hybrid should only be
used to describe the offspring that results when two separate species are
bred -- such as a lion and a tiger. Our breeding program is based on the idea
that you breed like to like for a hardy good minded family companion.

The Golden
Girls and our Poodle share size, coloring, and sporting discipline.
As a first-generation cross breed, Goldendoodles take on the best traits of
both parent breeds. They generally live longer and have less health problems
than either purebred parent line. By crossing two distinct genetic lines,
you virtually eliminate any of the health problems that come as a result of
line breeding.
Goldendoodles
can live well adjusted happy lives in the city or on a farm. They are very
people oriented dogs who will thrive with your love.

Goldendoodle

Based
on Ivan and the Girls our vet has given us these stats to determine approximate
size for the pups. They are guidelines, with some being larger then others.
Males
: Height 21-25 inches. Weight: 55-70 pounds.
Females:
Height 20-23 inches. Weight 45-65 pounds.
Your family
friend should have a healthy life span of 10 to 14 years.

We do
not guarantee that the Goldendoodle will be able to live with people with
allergies. Please, before you buy, spend some time with a poodle or Goldendoodle
to see if you are allergic to the dander or saliva of the dog. We do not want
to place a puppy with a family only to have it brought back because of someone's
allergies. You need to be sure and research this thoroughly before you bring
the puppy home. We will gladly take the puppy back to keep it from going to
a shelter.
